I've sung this song for years at gigs. A fun look at the quandaries we face as a species of tool, language and symbol using primates.

Here I am sitting at the top of a tree
thinking about my ancestry;
a monkey gets the urge to jump to the ground
stand on two legs and walk around

it's only a geological eye-blink later
there are tree's in the monkey's lap in the shape of newspapers
informing them that they have fenced themselves in
a chaotic cage that is violent and grim

They stare into the future and think about survival
Is this a point of departure, or a moment of arrival?
